Honorary Engineer of the Year 2003

Gen. Chuck Yeager delivered the keynote address at the Engineers’ Council Honors & Awards Banquetcelebrating National Engineers Week on February 22, 2003, in Studio City, CA. Nearly 500 attendees representing aerospace manufacturers, he Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, California State University Northridge, the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and others were on hand.  Yeager then presented the Brigadier General Charles E. “Chuck” Yeager International Aeronautical Achievements Award to Colonel Russell E. Schleeh (USAF, ret.).  The Council presented the Centennial of Powered Flight Commemorative Award to Edwards Air Force Base and the Honorary Engineer of the Year Award to General Yeager.
